Obituary

Tommy L. "Tom" Jones, 66, of Milton, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at West Florida Hospital Covenant Hospice, Pensacola, Florida.

Tom was born on March 24, 1954, in Chickasaw, Alabama.

Tom worked in the Industrial construction field for 48 years. Tom worked several of those years in central Florida, then in Louisiana. He later resided in the Panhandle of Florida.

Tom is preceded in death by his dad, Marion William Jones.

Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Bonner Jones, of Milton, Florida; daughter, Jennifer Stacey Jones, of Milton, Florida; daughter, Tabitha (Joe) Lynn Jones Durrence, of Milton, Florida; two granddaughters, Amber Nicole Durrence, of Tampa, Florida, and Jessica Taylor Durrence of Milton, Florid; his mom, Mable Julia Lee; his sister, Wanda (Buddy) Schreiner; his brother, Gerry Lee; and his sister, Teresa (David) Dykes.

At Tom’s request, we will have a Celebration of Life at his home at a later date.

Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.

Tom and Linda were wonderful neighbors and friends of my husband and I for many years. Tom and my husband worked together many years. They called one another "Hip" Tom saved our daughter from choking and we are eternally grateful. Linda, Jennifer and Tabitha our Heart and Prayers are with you.
