Obituary

Lourdes Varilla Valerio, of Milton, Florida, passed away in her sleep Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020.

Lourdes was born in Anda, in the province of Pangasinan, in the country of the Philippines. In 1970, she and her Navy husband, Romulo, decided to make Milton, Florida, their home. It was here where she raised her four children and lived until she was called to God. She was blessed in her life with the support of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the love of her close friends in the Filipino/American community.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Romulo Valerio; her daughters, Lorrena Mastroni of Milton, Florida, Aprilyn Valerio of Los Angeles, California, and Joselyn Valerio-Faessel of Perdido Key, Florida; and her son Rommel Valerio of Los Angeles, California; and her four grandsons, Julian Mastroni, Joseph Mastroni, Roman Vena, and Jordan Vena.

Our family wishes to thank the staff at Sacred Heart Hospital, West Florida Hospital, and Covenant Care Hospice for the compassion given to Lourdes during her course of care.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.

We are very grateful to all her friends and family who join us in remembering her beautiful life and soul.
