In Loving Memory
James Maxwell Streacker, Jr.
March 1, 2016 – August 14, 2019

James was born March 1, 2016. Although he was born with very rare and complex heart issues, he fought hard and against all odds, overcame many obstacles, and was able to be placed on a transplant donor waiting list. From the beginning, kindness and generosity allowed him to continue his journey on earth.

On July 5, 2017, he was given the extremely valuable gift of life and received his new heart. After yet another hard and long battle over many months following his transplant, he was finally able to safely come home. During this time he was able to live and be a happy little boy. He loved life. Every morning he would wake up, stretch, look out of the window and enthusiastically say, "Good morning! It’s morning time!"

He enjoyed playing in the yard with his dogs, making playdoh master pieces, spending time on any ball field, and he especially loved riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. He laughed at everything, loved playing pretend, watching cartoons while cuddled with his granny, and seeing people pull into the yard just to run and give them a hug.

A few months after his 3rd birthday, James started showing signs of heart rejection. However, this did not slow him down one bit. He continued to smile everyday and never complained. Everyone that came in contact with James wanted to be around him at all times. He would wave at complete strangers and they would eagerly come over just to say hello and touch his curly hair. Almost all of them gawked over his long eyelashes.

On August 14, 2019, James transitioned from Earth into God's arms. He will forever be missed by everyone that ever came in contact with him and his memory will live on through everyone that ever loved him.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

A Celebration of James’ Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

The family would like to send our special thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all of the doctors, nurses, housekeepers and dietary aids locally and at the University of Florida at Gainesville, Shands Hospital, that ever came in contact with James. Your love and compassion was never taken for granted. His life was fulfilled more due to your selfless acts of kindness. God bless you all.

Memorial Donations may be made to Lewis Funeral Home to offset expenses. (Lewis Funeral Home, 6405 Hwy 90 West, Milton, Florida 32570.)
