Jacqueline Ann Larson, 81, of Navarre, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Jacque, as known by her friends and extended family, was born October 12, 1938, in White Plains, NJ,
to Jack and Evalyn Huff.

As a young girl, Jacque’s father would take her into New York City on a Saturday afternoon train to see Broadway plays. When they had time, they would shop at Macy’s and stroll down 5th avenue. In her high school years they moved to Minnesota, where she eventually met her husband, Frank, and fell in love.

On June 13, 1959, Jacque married the love of her life, Frank W. Larson, and was a devoted wife throughout their 58 years together. Frank served his country in the Military which allowed them to travel to many parts of the world.

Jacque and Frank had two sons, revealing in their accomplishments and instilling in them strong values. She was always proud of her children and supported their decisions.

Frank and Jacqueline Larson then “retired” from the military life with the constant moving and set up home in Navarre, Florida, opening a sail boat business which they operated for 14 years. After they decided to “retire” for the second time, they found a lot on a mountain top in Andrews, North Carolina, and built a real log cabin. During the hot Florida days, they were able to retreat to the cabin for quiet time and reflection. For almost 10 years, they used this as a place to enjoy life with each other. Exploring the surrounding local sights.

Jacque was very active in the community, one of her accolades was becoming a Master Gardener. Where she served for over 20 years. She received many awards and would donate time at the local coop to give advice. She attended many workshops and conferences at the universities to increase her knowledge on plants. She is noted for the support of the local Navarre Butterfly conservatory and donating her time each week to give the guest tours. Jacque loved to read and learn. She was known to read a book a day. She enjoyed her monthly discussion with the local book club on an in-depth topic. As well as donating time at the local library.

Jacque was known for her quick wit, vivid expressions, her infectious smile, her kind and adventurous spirit.
She will always be remembered as the dedicated wife, loving mother, and forever friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Larson, who passed away November 3, 2017; and by her parents, Jack and Evelyn Huff.

Jacque is survived by her two sons, Scott Larson (extended family Rusty Nell) of Atlanta, Ga, and Douglas Larson (fiancée Jennifer) of Navarre, FL; brother, Wally Huff (Janice) of Minnesota; as well as, long time extended family, Barbara Wagner.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice for the love and care given to Jacque and her family during her illness; and to all of her friends that reached out during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566), with Rev. Mike Poston officiating.
