Graydon Wendell “Grady” Pitts, age 88, peacefully passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at home in Milton, Florida.

Grady was born September 8, 1931, in Baker, Florida; and was raised in Bagdad and Milton. He was an Army Veteran, and retired from Monsanto in 1985. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Milton.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rena Carol Pitts Cox.

Grady is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Pitts, son, Demmy Pitts; stepsons, John Williams and Jerry Williams; and his step-daughter, Debra Weeks. He also leaves to cherish his memory, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family is having a Celebration of Life, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday November 10, 2019, at Christ United Methodist Church on Dogwood Drive in Milton.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Emerald Coast Hospice for all their care and support.

The family requests memorial donations may be made, in Grady's name, to Christ United Methodist Church, 5983 Dogwood Dr. Milton, FL 32570; or to Emerald Coast Hospice, 5536 Stewart St. Milton, FL 32570.

Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.

I have known Grady most of my life. Grew up with his kids. He will be missed. Truly sorry to hear of his passing.
