Obituary

Marion “Dwight” Goggans, 73, of Holt, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, at his home.

Dwight was born April 24, 1946 in Fort Payne, Alabama, to parents, William Issac and Nora Eliza (McClendon) Goggans. He was a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant and Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by three children, Marion Dwight Goggans Jr., Mellani Gilbert, and Holly Dziuk; and five siblings Leon, Thomas, Mildred, Glenn, and Joyce.

Dwight is survived by his spouse of 28 years, Jan Goggans; children, Corina Goggans, Eric Goggans, Jill Web, Wendy Lewis and Nick Nicoll; his siblings Joe, Mack, Marcella, Brenda, Ella and Ann; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 11, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at VFW Post 5450 (2240 W James Lee Blvd, Crestview, FL 32536) where he was a devoted lifetime member.

Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations, be made in Dwight’s name, to VFW post 5450, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
