Bruce Lindsey Ferguson, 79 years of age, of Milton, Florida, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at his residence.
Bruce was born March 1, 1940, in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a retired U.S. Navy LCDR, aviator; and also, a retired Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigator. He held a Master Degree from Troy University in Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Ferguson of Norfolk, Virginia; and his son, John Ferguson of Milton, Florida.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathryn Ferguson of Milton, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Anna Ferguson of Chicago, Illinois, and Collin and Charlotte Ferguson of Grove City, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law, Trace and Tim Parsley of Marengo, Ohio, Samantha and Ray Sosebee of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter-in-law, Marty Ferguson of Milton, Florida. He also leaves to cherish his memory, eleven grandchildren, Ian, Emmett, Duncan, Kate, Claire, William, Manuel, Joseph, Amanda, Ashleigh, Candice and Bruce; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Oliva, Elijah “Eli” and Kayo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Charles Horn of Blacklick, Ohio, Beverly and Don Leonard of Greer, South Carolina, and Charles Jones of Gahanna, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., in Barrancas National Cemetery.
