Dana Thacker. A hero to millions by leading convoys of electric trucks to help those regain power in the devastation of a hurricane. A hero to young boys/men that worked towards gaining their Eagle Scout. A hero to his friends by always lending a hand anytime it was needed. A hero to his children by supporting them in realizing their dreams...a Dad that was present and deeply loved his family. A hero to his wife by showering her in unconditional love and bringing her joy.

One of my favorite memories is of us going to Disneyworld with his family, my family, and another friend's family. The other husbands could not go so he traipsed across 4 parks with 7 kids and 3 "wives." His brunette, blonde and redhead. We were such a sight to be seen! He would just grin and as Terry would say, "butter wouldn't melt in his mouth."

When I lost my husband, Terry and Dana drove many hours to get to me; to support me; to comfort me. The minute I saw them, I knew my family had come. We haven't lived close over the last few years but it was if no time had passed. I remember Terry holding me tight and saying, "I just had to see ya, Darlin" That's Terry and Dana. They love hard.

We will forever be changed by the loss of such a kind, cherished and often crazy man. He brought joy and laughter to so many. He was my honorary big brother.

Terry, "I just have to see ya, Darlin." I'm here for you. Always.
