Obituary

Charly Frank Morris passed away in West Florida Hospital after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

He was born in Wynne, Arkansas, on July 7, 1932, to the late Jesse and Clara Morris. Charly served during the Korean War for four years. He was an Aviation Boatswains Mate, Fuels Division on the USS Bennington. He met Catherine Davis at church while he was stationed at Whiting Field. They married on June 6, 1952, and spent 67 years together until Charly’s passing. After the war, he worked odd jobs, then later worked for Sears. He was hired at Air Products in Pace, and worked over 25 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Pace Assembly of God for over 60 years.

He loved fishing with family and friends. He was a faithful father and dedicated to his family whom he loved dearly.
He was a true friend and always ready to “help and rescue” family or friend.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Eugene Morris; granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Morris; four sisters, Mollie, Flora Mae, Carolyn and Eileen; three brothers, Dan, Junior and Willard; and his father-in law and mother-in-law, Sam and Inez Davis of Pace.
